What to Expect - Standard & Custom Manufacturing

Steps of our process:

Identify a product or products that you sell or use as consumable or promotional products for your business that you would like to reduce procurement costs by 30% or more.

Fill out the Request for Quotation for China Manufacturing on-line form or contact us by email or phone.

Please provide product drawings, photos, specifications, product details, quantity, packaging requirements, delivery date, budgetary pricing, delivery destination, and any other requirements that you have.

The more details you provide, the quicker we can find a qualified manufacturer and provide the most accurate quotation.

We review your China manufacturing request and ask for clarification if needed and respond to and acknowledge your China Manufacturing request within 3 business days.

We start sourcing your products in China as follows:

 

If the product you are requesting is off the shelf (standard manufactured product in China), please click the Standard Products tab below.

If the product you are requesting is an existing product that you currently stock but is not a standard manufactured product in China, please click the Existing Products tab below.

If the product you are requesting is a new product such as a custom design or a new invention that will require custom manufacturing, please click the Custom Products tab below.

If the product you are requesting is off the shelf (standard manufactured product in China), China Global Direct will:

  • Locate a qualified supplier for manufacturing your merchandise
  • Obtain a quote from the manufacturer within 10 business days
  • If the pricing is acceptable then the supplier will manufacture a sample of the product
  • You will pay the shipping and handling for the manufacturing sample from the supplier to your location (any charges incurred by you will be credited toward your paid manufacturing order)
  • You approve the sample manufactured in China
  • Issue a purchase order or sign a purchase contract if needed to buy the product, promotional products, or goods that you are sourcing in China
  • Issue a transferable letter of credit
  • Manufacturing starts
  • China Global Direct will begin shipping, import, and export logistics for your China manufacturing product
  • China Global Direct will provide updates on the status of the goods
  • When manufacturing is completed China Global Direct will notify you and prepare for shipping, import, and export of your merchandise
  • Your China manufacturing goods arrive at your destination
  • You review and approve product or merchandise
  • Payment is released to the manufacturer in China

    • If the product you are requesting is an existing product that you currently stock but is not a standard manufactured product in China, China Global Direct will:

  • Locate a qualified manufacturer in China to manufacture your product
  • Ship a sample (provided by you) to the China manufacturer for quotation
  • You will pay the shipping and handling for the sample product or promotional products from your location to the manufacturer (any charges incurred by you will be credited toward your paid manufacturing order)
  • China Global Direct will provide a China sourcing quotation within 10 business days of the manufacturer receiving the sample
  • If you approve the pricing then the manufacturer in China will make you a sample for approval
  • You will pay the shipping and handling for the manufacturing product sample from the China manufacturer to your location (any charges incurred by you will be credited toward your paid manufacturing order)
  • You approve the China manufacturing sample
  • Issue a purchase order or sign a purchase contract if needed for the product or promotional products that you are sourcing in China
  • Issue a transferable letter of credit for the merchandise
  • Manufacturing starts
  • China Global Direct will begin shipping, import, and export logistics for your goods
  • China Global Direct will provide updates on the status of your manufacturing order
  • When manufacturing is finished, China Global Direct will notify you and prepare for shipping, import, and export of your goods
  • Your China manufacturing goods arrive at your destination
  • You review and approve product or merchandise
  • Payment is released to the manufacturer in China

    • If the product you are requesting is a new product such as a custom design or a new invention that will require custom manufacturing, China Global Direct will:

  • Assist you with ensuring your product drawings, photos, specifications, and product details are detailed and accurate enough to custom manufacture a prototype for your approval
  • Locate a qualified custom manufacturer in China to manufacture your product
  • China Global Direct will provide a quotation within 10 business days of the custom manufacturer receiving the specifications for your product
  • Provide a custom manufacturing quotation for the product or merchandise
  • If the custom manufacturing budgetary pricing is acceptable, China Global Direct will request manufacturing of a prototype product sample
  • You will pay the shipping and handling for the custom manufacturing prototype from the custom manufacturer to your location (any charges incurred by you will be credited toward your paid manufacturing order)
  • You will evaluate the custom manufactured prototype sample
  • If any changes are required a new prototype will be manufactured
  • Upon approval of the prototype and pricing, a pre-production sample (if required) will be manufactured
  • You will pay the shipping and handling from the manufacturer to your location (any charges incurred by you will be credited toward your paid manufacturing order)
  • Issue a purchase order or sign a purchase contract (if needed) for the custom manufacturing products that you are sourcing in China
  • Issue a transferable letter of credit
  • Custom manufacturing starts
  • China Global Direct will begin shipping, import, and export logistics for your custom manufactured product
  • China Global Direct will provide updates on the status of your custom manufacturing
  • When production is completed China Global Direct will notify you and prepare for shipping, import, and export
  • Your custom manufactured product arrives at your destination
  • You review and approve the product
  • Payment is released to the China manufacturer

    • Additional China manufacturing services offered by China Global Direct:

  • Additional China manufacturing quality control checks and additional product information or documentation that you require (actual fees may apply)
  • If you wish to visit the manufacturer in China we will help coordinate the visit and assist with culture and language sharing (you would be responsible for our company representative’s travel expenses)
  • When you decide to proceed with your purchase we can assist with drafting a Letter of Credit and shipping logistics as required.
  • As you need to reorder to replenish your inventory just contact us and we can process all your follow-on orders.
